PSA key programming device V3
With this device the key learning is very easy and you can create up to 8 keys at time. Once you start the procedure it takes approximately 8 seconds depends on module used in the vehicle:
Key learning procedure:
1. Select the number of keys to be learned by switching ON only the DIP switch that
corresponds to the number of keys to be learned.
For example: Turn ON DIP Switch 2 only if 2 keys have to be learned.
Note: Any invalid combination of the DIP Switches will result in selecting of one key to be
learned.
2. Switch IGNITION ON and insert the device into the OBDII socket.
3. If the LED starts blinking in RED immediately, there was a defect detected during power on
self test and the device should be repaired
4. After about 8 seconds the key learning procedure starts with PIN extraction and validation
phase. This is indicated by alternating red and green LED.
5. Typical duration of the PIN extraction phase depends on the BSI module used in the vehicle:
6. After PIN extraction and validation phase, the LED is switched OFF which means that the
IGNITION should be switched OFF too.
7. After about 5 seconds the LED lights up in GREEN, so turn IGNITION ON with the FIRST
key to program. Once the key is programmed the LED is switched OFF which means that
the IGNITION should be switched OFF.
8. Prepare the next key to program if there are any other keys to be programmed and wait 5
seconds till the LED lights up in GREEN again. Switch IGNITION ON with the SECOND
key to program. The LED will switch OFF when the key is programmed.
9. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the keys.
10. When the last key is programmed the LED starts blinking in GREEN slowly
11. For all Delphi keyless cars within the next 30 seconds put all programmed keys in the car.
They should stay there at least 30 seconds.
12. In case of any error the LED will start blinking in RED fast. You can retry the procedure
from the beginning to be sure that there was no random communication problem.
NOTE! If the car is not operating normally retry the procedure from the beginning.
Key learning procedure:
Supported models: All PSA vehicles 2015+ with Valeo/Continental BSI (new vehicles with Delphi
BSI are not supported)
PSA Key Device V3 Update Procedure
Update procedure:
1. Select the following combination of the device DIP switches "OFF-OFF-OFF-OFF-OFFOFF-
OFF-OFF". (All OFF). Note that other selection might lead to a successful update but the
internal test won't pass!!!
2. Connect the device to a free USB port. Wait until the FTDI driver is installed and the device
is listed in Windows Device Manager as COM port
3. Set Latency Timer of the COM port to 1.
(Right click on the COM port then Properties->Port Settings->Advanced->Latency Timer)
4. Run the update file PsaKeyMakerDeviceUpdater_B002xx.exe. (The following files should be
present in the same folder libcurl.dll, libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll, QtCore4.dll and pdat.bin).
5. The update takes about 6 hours and at the end the you should see the following screen:
6. Disconnect the device from the USB.
7. Select the following combination of the device DIP switches "ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFFON-
ON" (1-ON, 2-OFF, 3-ON, 4-OFF, 5-ON, 6-OFF, 7-ON, 8-ON). This combination is
dedicated to internal test, which is mandatory to run after update!
8. Connect the device into USB and the LED will start slowly alternate GREEN-RED-GREENRED...
9. Wait 20 minutes for the internal test to complete - at successful end the LED should blink
slowly GREEN
